Quotations from the Movies

The American public has always had a certain fascination for the Hollywood movie stars. For some unknown reason people want to imitate the way their favorite movie stars dress, comb their hair, and talk. The glamour of Hollywood, California has extended out to every part of the United States, and in fact, to all the cities of the world. It is not surprising that when talking movies came along in the late 1920s the public latched onto a number of quotations from the movies and incorporated them into the English language. Today we often repeat these quotations in our everyday conversations. Listed below are my favorites along with the movie star who first uttered the quotations:
